Our story

Why two surfers started a water company.

We are two surfers driven by a deep connection to the island we call home. The same mountains, rivers, and coastline that shape our adventures are the places we are committed to protecting. That's why we specialize in non-destructive geophysical water surveys, using advanced technology to locate groundwater without unnecessary disturbance to the land. Every survey is guided by a simple belief: the best way to discover nature's resources is to work with nature, not against it.

Around here, finding water usually means drilling and hoping. Sometimes it works. Sometimes the well comes up dry, or turns salty after the first dry season, so you dig again. On an island where fresh water is already stretched thin, that gets expensive fast.

We think there's a better way. Before any rig shows up, we read what's under your land and tell you plainly: how deep the water likely sits, how much it might give, and whether salt is a risk. You get it in writing. We don't drill and we don't sell rigs, so our read stays straight. Something solid to build on, not a guess.

What a seismoelectric survey actually reads.

A seismoelectric survey sends a small, controlled seismic pulse into the ground. When that pulse passes through water-saturated, permeable rock, the movement of water against the mineral grains generates a tiny electrical signal that sensors at the surface record. The strength and timing of that signal indicate the depth, thickness, and likely productivity of a water-bearing layer.

The seismoelectric effect is documented in peer-reviewed geophysics: Thompson and Gist (1993) detected a response from a fluid interface at about 300 m, and Pride (1994) established the governing theory. The method is still studied today. The signals are small and interpreted, so operator experience and site-specific judgment matter, and we report a confidence level rather than a promise.

What kind of soil and geology is underneath the ground in Siargao?

Siargao is predominantly karst limestone, sitting on an older volcanic and ophiolite basement, with no significant surface drainage because water disappears into underground channels. A peer-reviewed 2025 geological study describes the basal rocks as limestone karst over a Late Cretaceous ophiolite basement, with a volcanic formation in the island's center. The practical meaning for a well: in karst, water travels through fractures, conduits, and dissolved channels rather than evenly through the rock, so yield and quality can change sharply over short distances. That is the core reason the exact spot you drill matters, and why we read your specific parcel rather than quote an island-wide number.

How deep is the water table on Siargao or in General Luna?

There is no single water-table depth for Siargao, because it varies a lot by location across the island's karst. The island is limestone over a volcanic basement, where water moves through uneven fractures, so depth can change sharply from one lot to the next, and near the coast a freshwater lens sits on salt water. That is why an island-wide number would mislead you. The reliable figure for your build is a measured estimate of your own parcel, which we provide: the most likely depth, an indicative yield range, and saltwater risk, in writing.

What are the main issues you face when searching for water in Siargao?

The two big challenges on Siargao are unpredictable karst geology and coastal saltwater intrusion. In karst limestone, water moves through uneven fractures and conduits, so a productive aquifer and a dry zone can sit a few meters apart. Near the shore, fresh water floats as a thin lens on salt water, so a well can come up brackish or turn salty in the dry season when demand peaks. On top of that, the island already sees dry-season shortages and springs that drop in summer. We read these conditions on your land and put the most likely depth, an indicative yield range, and salt risk in writing, so you drill on data.

Why should I trust a water survey that is independent from the drilling company?

We own no rig, so the read is straight. A read that comes from whoever sells the drill has an incentive to recommend drilling; ours has none. Our written report reflects only what your parcel actually reads, which is exactly what an owner doing diligence, a lender, and an NWRB file want. The deliverable is the same regardless of the outcome: most likely depth, indicative yield range, saltwater risk, recommended location, and confidence. Independence is the whole point: the numbers we hand you are the numbers your ground shows.
